Don't get me wrong, people. I love having you drop by my site and checking it out.
Lately, however, I have noticed in my statistics that some one is downloading my material to their computer. There's no way I can control this, of course, other than reminding the person doing this that I don't condone this practice. All of my work is original, and is copyrighted. Note the watermark I place at the bottom of almost all my images. Any infringement of my copyright is illegal and subject to prosecution if found out.
Period. Exclamation point.
Hi Jennifer
Been enjoying your blog ( follow it via my reader ) very, very much.
Regarding your concern about someone downloading from your blog, I am interested to know how *you* know?
I can see numbers of visitors and page views for my blog, and whether they arrive via google search or referred from a link, but not whether they copy an image. Is there something I should learn about?
The issue of protecting our content, while at the same time expressing and publishing on the web is so important and there are a lot of conflicting opinions and misconceptions; I have seen several instances where people assume that they can copy and paste material without attribution, or worse, use as theirs.
cheers
